Radical Reading – April

This month I read the book call Ghost by Author Jason Reynolds. The book is about a boy named castle who is a very poor boy. He was walking home from school one day when he saw a track practice going on. He decided it sit down and watch it for a little bit because he had no where else to be. After sitting and watching for a little bit, he noticed that there best player, Lu was a very cocky kid. He then took it upon himself that the next time Lu did the 100 yard dash that he would race him. Once that time came he went to race and smoked him. This made Lu and the mother very upset, but the coach was the exact opposite. Then coach then ran over to castle and asked him his background story and how he got so fast. He told him that his father tried to kill him with a gun while drunk. He missed every shot because he was running so fast and he was like a ghost. He was asked to join the track team but he had to ask his mom first. His mom gave it the okay and he has been running with him for a while. He didn’t have the money to buy shoes so he was running in converse. He decided to steal a pair of shoes from a store. That store is also where the coach got the uniforms from. He saw a sign that read shop lifter When he got to practice he gave everyone there uniforms but ghost because he saw the sign. I liked this book because it picked up so fast and he never had down sides he was all ways so good. My favorite character is Lu because he is so funny. One quote to prove this is when they were all at dinner and the coach made them say something that we didn’t know and he said this “I’m albino.” Every knew he was that and he just said that as a joke. And that’s why I love him so much.

20% Week 3

Hello my name is Noah and for my 20 percent project is switch hitting. My goal by the end of the school is be able to get a base hit in a game lefty. One of my achievements is that I’m hitting very good for lefty off the tee and the ball has a good launch angle and it’s a good hit. One of my struggle is that swinging lefty when someone is soft tossing me the pitch I can’t seem to connect with the ball. When I do connect it is a very bad hit and is an out. And adjustment I need to make is not dripping my hands. Not dropping my hands means I can hit the ball good and get a base hit. Next week I am going to field hit with some friends and I am going to try to hit left handed for the most part to get a better swing. Thank you.

20% project blog number one

Hello, my name Is Noah and for my 20 percent project I am learning how to hit ambidextrous in baseball. That means know how to hit lefty and righty. For the first week I have made great progress and got down my fundamentals and can swing the bat with good form. All though I made great achievements I had a few struggles. Learning to hit opposite hand is hard and when I didn’t get it it made me really frustrated but that is all part of the progress. Next week I plan to get even better with the fundamentals and start hitting off of my tee and soft toss. Next week I will also learn to bunt left handed. As an overall my first week was a great success and I am feeling great with my progress so far and can’t wait to achieve my goal. Thank you and I will see you next week

20% Project Week 2

Hello. My name is Noah My 20 percent project is learning how to switch hit. Last week I learned the fundamentals. This week I learned how to bunt and continued on my fundamentals. This week on top of fundamentals I am starting to cage hitting. I can’t hit the ball that well yet but I am making good contact and going along smoothly. My main struggle is that my hands and body don’t sync up meaning that my hands swing then my legs go. Another one of my struggles is that my bat speed has a major deficiency while swinging left handed. Another way I can fix this is by swinging a heavier bat at practice then in practice use a lighter one to make it feel lighter and swinging faster. Thank you and I will see you next week.

My Famous Dinner

If I could invite any three people to have dinner with me it would be Bo Bichette, Jaylen Waddle, And my favorite actor Kevin Hart. I would invite these three people because they are my favorites. Favorite actor favorite baseball player and favorite football player. I would want Bo Bichette here because I love him and he’s seems like couch a nice guy and I would have endless baseball talks with him. I would also want Jaylen waddle because I love penguins and his last name is waddle and penguins waddle. But I also want him here because he is such a great football player. I also want Bo Bichette and Jaylen waddle here because they don’t laugh that easy and Kevin hart, well let’s just say he does laugh a lot. So we could play a game were we all fill are mouths with water and he try’s to make us laugh and the last one with water in there mouth wins. Thank you for reading my blog and I will see you in 168 hours!

My Dream Job

My dream job isn’t like other people’s. Most people want to be a sports player or a firefighter. But me. I want to be a CSI. A crime scene investigator. I want this job because I like mystery’s and a I like to solve puzzles. I also think would be a fun job because I am contributing to my community and the world. Another one of my dream jobs is to be a professional baseball player. Of course this is on of the hardest things to do but I love the game a baseball and to play pro ball would be a dream come true. I would also want to play baseball because it’s one of those jobs where I don’t really care about the money because I get to wake up everyday and do the sport love. Thank you and I will see you next week

Radical Reading – March

This month I read the book Crossover by Kwame Alexander. This book is about two twins, Jordan And Josh Bell. They are young basketball phenoms. They did everything together until Josh got a girlfriend. This makes Jordan mad and during practice he throws a ball at Josh’s face making him go to the office. Josh and Jordan don’t talk for about 2 weeks and only start talking when there father dies. The reason I liked this book so much is because it is about one of my favorite sports basketball. I also love it because it’s such a funny book and it’s so relatable. My favorite character is probably Josh. He is like a walking highlight reel and his dunks are insane. He’s also super funny and talented. “I bet the dishes you miss number fifth” is my favorite line. I like this line because his father once made fifty free throws in a row and his high is nineteen. After his father passes he shoots forty nine and on his last one to tie is dad the dishes get bet on it.

Rad reading – February

This month I read a book Called rebound by Kwame Alexander. This book is the second book in a series of 3. The first book, cross over is about the dad and his kids. The second book, rebound is about the dad when he was younger. The book is about a kid who has no father and is troubled. His mother found out that he stole and sent him to live in D.C. with his grandparents. When there he and his cousin Roxie play ball and really like playing. He finds out that his friend is in town and he goes to meet up with him. When him and his friend are there they meet up with his friends cousin. They then later got arrested for possession of marijuana(from the cousin) and went to jail over night. His mom then got very lonely at home and made him come home. My favorite character is Roxie. I like her because she is very dedicated and loves what she does. Thank you
